- Ponies Adopted in 2015 -
Sugar and Taffy
Taffy was born on Saint Patrick's day this year 2015 and will be available for adoption once he is weaned in a month :)
Sugar will start pony party training once he is weaned, right now she is focused on being a good mommy :)
Update 8/1/15-We also believe Sugar maybe pregnant again, so time will tell, but she should be loosing her baby weight from Taffy but she is actually gaining weight, poor sugar there was a Mini Stallion at the farm they came from so after she had Taffy he must have gotten into her pen. So she will be staying here through this next phase of her life and after she is all done being a mommy once and for all we will do pony party training and go from there :)
Update 9/17/15 Taffy will be weaned next month and he is ready to be adopted and go to forever home :) Sugar is also pregnant (she came to us with Taffy by her side and in foal, she did not get pregnant here) poor sweet girl, so she will be available for adoption after her new baby is born and weaned <3
Update: Both Happily Adopted <3
Taffy- For Adoption- ADOPTED!
Mini/Shetland Pony Colt should mature to 10hh
Taffy is a 5 month old colt, his birthday is Saint Patrick's Day :)
We are currently working on halter training him and he is wary of people as he just came to us and had never been worked with or had a halter on. He is ready for adoption and will be ready to go to his new forever home in a month once he is weaned. Since he is a colt he will need to be gelded by his 1st birthday this extra cost is reflected in his adoption fee :) He is now all up to date on shots and coggins and has begun a deworming program.
~At this time we are raising funds to have him fixed
Update- November 18th 2015 Taffy is now 100% Halter broken and he picks up his feet too! He now is very friendly and loving, he loves to be groomed and scratched now too! He has really come out of his shell and is ready for his forever home! :)
Dec 29th 2015- Taffy is now at his new forever home and he is spoiled already and they love him so much we are so blessed her got a perfect home!!!

May May- ADOPTED OCT 2015
2010, 4 year old Mare
Pretty Miss Maybelline came to us from a sweet man who has sold us hay for the ponies in the past. She was in a pasture full of worms and malnourished. The man told our hay guy that if someone did not take her by the next day he was going to shoot her, because he was tired of feeding her. Poor May, just to think that someone could imagine hurting her...so terrible. I am so glad he found her and saved her and that we were the 1st phone call he made. He knew we would love her and find her a great home.
May had never had a halter on her and she was terrified of people. She is now all up to date on her shots, coggins and one dewormer rotation. We were told she was recently with a stallion prior to her rescue so we will soon find out if she is in foal. She is now well adjusted to her halter and being held to be groomed. She still has a long way to go but she is blossoming here with patience and time she is going to be an amazing pony! We are just so happy she is here so we can find her a great home!
Update- 12/1/14 May is still hard to catch, but she is starting to be curious and coming up to the gate of her paddock to say hello :)
Update- 1/12/15 May has graduated to a bigger paddock! She is becoming more curious and easy to catch if you have a treat for her! She loves to eat! She is starting to really come out of her shell! She just needs someone with some time to invest in her and she will make an awesome little pony :)
Update 6/11/15 May is now saddle broke and doing great in her round pen training! She is now in a big pasture and doing great coming up to people to be caught! :)
Update October 2015 May's foster home has fallen in love with her and has decided to adopt her! YAY!

Nutmeg- ADOPTED
~*Best Suited to be a companion pony*~
Nutmeg is a 12hh grade pony, she is about 11 years old. She may possibly be a Hackney Cross pony. She is a very sweet girl. She has an old eye injury in her right eye that causes partial blindness. She can still see and gets around very well. She likes to be turned out with a friend though she is not very happy when she is alone. She would make a perfect companion pony! She gets along with any horse or pony we have put her with. She has a hard time dealing with Vet visits, but in time I think she will see that it is ok. She loves to be groomed and is very good about picking up her feet. She is a little timid and head strong right now, but she was not handled in over a year- 3 years, so once she gets used to it I think she will be great! She is a little club footed and that is also why we believe she would be best suited for a companion pony only, maybe with trained just do walking on leadline. At this time due to having no hoof care in over a year she is lame at the trot, but we are hoping with good farrier care this issue will be resolved. She has only been with us a few weeks and she is already improving! She also has gained over 50lbs! She is a good eater! She does not like dewormer, but she did have a lot of worms so she has been dewormed multiple times. We will check soon to see if that did the trick! :)
Update 3/24/14-Nutmeg came to us after not being handed for over a year. She was full of worms, but now she is getting over them and doing much better. She was eating three small meals a day, but now she is down to two bigger meals a day. The vet has looked at her eye and the damage is permanent, but she still can see out of her right eye.Her right front hoof is partially club footed, but the farrier believes with corrective trimming it can be partially corrected. She has gained over 50lbs! She still has a way to go, but she is making big progress! She is still a little skittish and hard to catch, but she is making progress everyday! :) At this point she is still lame at the trot, but we are hoping after a few corrective trims that will not be the case. She has graduated to a bigger stall now and hopefully soon we will be able to catch her without a grab rope. Our next goal is to able to catch her without a grab rope.
UPDATE 4/1/14 We can now Catch Nutmeg with no catch rope! Yay Nutmeg!
Update 5/1/14 Nutmeg is now in with a horse Mya and doing quite well with her separation anxiety being away from Butterscotch. She is making tons of progress everyday! Due to her past and her tendency to overact to situations she is uncomfortable with we feel as though she is best suited for a companion pony only, also due to the fact that she is partially blind in her right eye as well as still having stiffness in her gait at the trot. She has now decided that the curry comb is her friend though ;)
Update 5/9/14 Nutmeg is doing great in her foster home! The farrier thinks she may even make a full recovery from her lameness issues in a few more trims! Such great news! :) She is being a good girl in pasture and causing no issues with being caught. Her foster family is going to work on turning her out with no halter soon and see how that goes :) Such exciting news! Her club foot is also gotten to be hardly noticeable now with proper trimming.
Update 5/28/14- "Meg" as her foster family calls her is doing quite well. She is now 100% sound! Such exciting news!!! Her front right hoof is now balanced as well and the farrier believes her club foot will go away after a few more trims! She does still have worms, but her foster family just did a 5 day treatment and now they will do quest plus so she should be perfect after that! She still cribs in stall if she is kept in there with no food, so that is a bad habit that we may not be able to break, nothing a cribbing collar can't fix though :)
Update 7/1/14- Meg is doing well she is now in a large pasture for the 1st time with 6 mares and they are all getting along great and she is easy to catch and loving attention! She is now bathing much better (she still needs a little work on bathing though) and standing nicely for farrier and vet! :)
Update 7/8/15- Meg is now adoption pending! Congrats to Lilli Meg will love you and your Mare <3
Update 8/22/15- Meg is doing great in her new home and they are very happy with her :) She is now a seeing eye pony for a blind horse so she wears bells so the horse knows where she is and can navigate around the pasture!

Princess Poppy- Adopted Aug 2015

Aurora - Adopted Aug. 2015
2006, 13.3hh Registered Halflinger Pony Mare
Aurora will be available for adoption October 13th, 2014 When her baby Princess Poppy is weaned. She is easy to handle, comes right to the gate to be caught in pasture, she stands for Farrier and vet, does not love baths but now she will stand for one,she makes friends with any horses/ ponies she is turned out with and she is an easy keeper. She does not mind being stalled, but vet recommends turnout 24/7 due to her arthritis in her right leg from old injury it is better if she stays active. She is broke and an advanced beginner and up can ride her, but SHE CAN ONLY EVER BE RIDDEN AT THE WALK, to ensure her leg does not get more damaged. She will also need a light rider under 130lbs. She loves attention and she would make a great companion pony/ pet. She would also be a good backyard horse to ride around and go on walking trail rides. She is a love bug come meet her and you will fall in love!
Nov. 2013
Sadly Miss Aurora has an old leg injury and it will leave her lame for the rest of her life. The vet took x-rays of her leg and her right cannon bone had a fracture about half way through it. The vet believed it to be about 5 months old, looking at the bone formation around it and the progression of her arthritis due to the injury. There was nothing we could do at this point due to the time that had lapsed and how her leg had tried to heal on its own. (If only we could have gotten her 4 months or so sooner we could have possibly fixed it.) Also while the vet was here we got him to do an ultrasound since she was around a stallion....She is PREGNANT! So he is guessing she is about 5 months pregnant at this time. She will be having a summer baby.
~Aurora is doing much better than when she first came to us, she has a coat supplement helping her grow a new mane half of hers was missing, possibly the stallion ripped it out :( in addition to her coat supplement she is getting a supplement for her joints to help her leg and one for pain. When she first came she would never trot and now everyday at feeding time she trots the last few steps to her feed bucket! She sure loves feeding time <3
We have even spotted her cantering a stride or two in the last two weeks! So we are so thrilled that she now seems much more comfortable.
Since she will never be able to be ridden we have decided to train her to do tricks, she is such a fast learner! She can say "yes" and "no" (shaking her head) and she gives hugs and she will take a bandana out of your pocket! She is such a sweetheart and we all love her dearly!
-She will be staying with us at the Rescue until her baby is weaned and then we will decide what will be the best home situation for her-
UPDATE 3/1/14- Aurora will be sound enough to do leadline walking with a rider up to 75 lbs after she has recovered from having her baby, if she is kept on her joint supplement. Actiflex 4000 is what she is on now and it has made her sound at the walk! We are so pleased with her progress!!! After the weight on the baby is off of her we are hoping she may come up sound at the trot as well. We will see :) Go Aurora! <3
We were also able to finally take her off of her coat supplement as her coat even has dapples now!
After her baby is weaned if all goes well she will be available for adoption (through Lilly's Ponies) as a companion pony/ leadline walking only.
UPDATE 3/24/14- Aurora is getting bigger by the day and we are still saving up money for foal safe fencing but we have high hopes that it will be here in time! :) She does not have milk yet, but she is getting huge! Her baby is guessed to be due in June, but we think she may have the baby in May or sooner. We will see soon enough. Aurora is still having some soundness issues, but she is trotting soundly a few steps at a time now (even with all her baby weight on her)! Go Aurora! <3
UPDATE 5/22/14 - Aurora's Baby is due next month! We are so excited! Our foal safe fencing is here and will be all installed by Monday! Just in time for her baby :)
Aurora is finishing up her white Willow Bark pain supplement this month and will be only getting her joint supplement after that yay! She is doing so well with her leg and all she has not been trotting too much, but we think that is because of the baby and not her leg, because she as been showing no sign at all of pain.
UPDATE 6/13/14- Baby Princess Poppy is born! She is perfect! Aurora is being n amazing mommy and baby is nursing well and her umbilical cord is clean, everything went perfectly! Aurora will be available for adoption when her baby is weaned in October 2014.
Update 8/9/15 - Aurora and Poppy got adopted together so sweet <3 great forever home, we are so excited they got to go to the same home :)

"Gypsy" Adopted 6/13/15
Gypsy was a yearling filly (Spotty Dotty's filly, spotty being rescued a few months after) who was rescued with Lazzaro and Pikachu and she was very neglected, still nursing off her mom at a year old. It almost looking like she had navicular her feet were in such terrible condition and also had a terrible case of worms.
UPDATE (06/10/12): Gypsy has been assessed at a 1 on the body scale with a bad case of worms and terrible feet which may prevent her from being a proper riding horse in the future. Her malnourished will probably stunt her growth around 13hh but for now, we will just work on getting her back to being a happy, healthy filly as she should be!
UPDATE (06/16/12): Gypsy got her feet trimmed and will luckily not need corrective shoeing, just TLC! It looks like her pasterns will just be a little longer than normal due to the many months of neglect, but she should be fine with proper time and care.
UPDATE (06/30/12): Gypsy has found a great new home that will take superb care of her! Congratulations to her new family!
UPDATE (Summer 2013): Gypsy is now fully grown and at her Ideal weight! Check her out!
UPDATE 12/8/14 Gypsy was returned to us with Aurora due to her adoptive family not being able to keep them anymore. Her hooves are now all in perfect shape and she is ready to be trained to ride :)
Update 1/12/15- Gypsy is now back into the swing of things here at the farm, we are working on her ground manners now. She is very low in the pecking order so her adoptive home we need to feed her by herself, or she will let the other horses take her food. We have started saddle training with her and she is a very easy going girl about it. She will be a great project pony.
Update 2/15/15- Gypsy is now saddle broke and we are so excited to take her to the net phase of training! She is a fast learner and is doing great!
Update 3/15/15 - Gypsy is now happily accepting a rider and we have been ridding her at a walk, shes doing great!
Update 6/12/15 - Gypsy is adoption pending and will be going to live in Willow Springs with an amazing family as a trail horse yay!

"Lill" Adoped

Lill is a very sweet pony that was given to Lilly's Ponies by a sweet Lady who was moving and could not take her with her, she asked us to take Lill and see if she would make a good party pony and if not she knew we would find her a forever loving home, where we would always check on her :)
Hopefully she will turn out to be a perfect party pony! She is such a pretty girl! <3
Update 1/18/15 -Lill is now through phase one of pony party training! She stands nicely to be saddled and is a perfect angel to lead children around on! <3 Phase 2 next!
Update 2/1/15 - Lill finished pony party training and did really well :) We have done leadline riding with her and she did great! She is an excellent childrens leadline pony :) we were hoping to keep her for a party pony, but we feel she is happier with people she knows then a bunch of unfamiliar children so we want to find her a forever home where she has her own family <3
Update 4/1/15- Lill got adopted to an awesome home with three other big horse friends and she loves it there already! :)

Butterscotch -ADOPTED Feb/ 2015
Butterscotch is 12.1hh 11 year old pony cross. She is part POA and we are not sure what else she is. She is a precious pony. She is very curious and wants to learn. She is now letting us groom her and do her feet after only a few weeks with us. She has just graduated into a little paddock with an attached stall. So our next goal is to be able to catch her with out a grab rope. She has a very sweet temperament and wants to please. We think she will make a great childrens riding pony after she is finished with training. She is not jumpy or skittish, but she needs to work on her confidence. In time we think she will be a great family pet pony!
Due to the fact that she and Nutmeg were left in a pasture un-handled for over a year her training process at her age may take some time, but we think she is worth it! She and Nutmeg are very attached right now so that is also something we are working on with her. So hopefully soon she will be able to make some new pony friends also and maybe even some people friends :) She has however decided she likes anyone with treats so we are getting through to her slowly but surly! Good Job Butter! Also she was a very good girl for the vet!
UPDATE 4/25/14 Butterscotch is now coming up to us in the pasture to be caught! What huge progress!!! Now she no longer has a grab rope on finally!!! :) We are so very pleased with her progress!!! She is becoming such a sweet loving pony!
Update 5/1/14 Butterscotch and Nutmeg are going to their foster home this weekend with BRAS for horses! A big thank you to them now we have a spot for a new rescue pony! Butterscotch is now coming up to the gate to be caught what a huge improvement!!! She comes right up to us in the pasture and wants to be loved on now! We are so excited at how much progress she has made! She is truly blossoming into quite a lovebug! She loves to be petting and groomed and of course treats! She is such a sweet pony now, who knew under her little mean attitude she had she would turn out to be so loving! We are just so excited! She is finished with her deworming protocol and is at her perfect weight now as well. In another week or too I think she will be able to have her halter off and still be caught no problem so that is very exciting! We think she has huge potential to be a little riding pony as well in the future!
Update 5/28/14 "Candy" as her foster home calls her is doing great! They are doing to start working on bathing her soon and hopefully next month she will be sent to professional training! Thank you to BRAS!
Update 6/12/14 Candy is all set up to go to professional training at Dave's next month (Aug) thank you to BRAS for Horses! We are so excited to see what a cute little riding pony we know she will turn out to be! After her training her adoption fee will go up, so if you are interested we can do a pre-adoption prior to training and her fee will remain the same. We can't want to post riding photos!!! She is loving all the attention at her foster home!
Update 9/1/14 Candy has now completed 30 days of professional training and has another 30 days to go! We are so grateful to BRAS for horses for sponsoring her for an additional month! She is now saddle broken, accepting of the bot and bridle and doing well with her ground driving. We are hoping after another 30 days of professional training that she will be child safe! :)
Update 11/27/14 Candy completed her 90 days of professional training and now is in an amazing foster home!!! We are so excited she is in such a great home, foster to adopt :)
UPDATE 2/12/15 Butterscotch's New foster home fell in love with her and adopted her! We are so happy for her! She still needs alot of work under saddle, but they have a trainer working with her and we are excited to see her progress in her training :)
